About Us

St. Philomena Catholic Elementary School opened its doors in 1969, welcoming students from the western Fort Erie and Crescent Park communities. Today, nearly 270 Bulldogs (future Lakeshore Catholic Gators) in kindergarten to Grade 8 students receive an excellent Catholic education at St. Philomena, learning and growing in faith together.

St. Philomena staff work together with students to promote student achievement in the four As: academics, arts, athletics, and attitude, to support students in mind, body, and spirit.

The school is named for St. Philomena, a Greek princess martyred at 13 years old, and is the patron saint of infants, babies, and youth.

St. Philomena Catholic Elementary School is part of the Lakeshore Catholic High School family of schools and the St. Michael parish community.
